Procedure XA (1) (a) ONE MACH INDICATION inoperative: XA Placard affected MACH/AIRSPEED INDICATOR "MACH INOP". XA (b) TWO MACH INDICATION inoperative: XA 1) Placard affected MACH/AIRSPEED INDICATORS "MACH INOP". XA 2) Affix to each instrument panel a placard which sets forth XA "AIRPLANE ALTITUDE LIMITATION: 29,000 Ft. XA (2) Report on Flight Log Book.

XA 1. STABILIZED HEADING INDICATIONS INOPERATIVE__________________________________________
XA A. General_______

XA The following procedure is applicable:
XA
XA (1) For IFR condition two independently stabilized systems, operating
XA a compass card in each pilot's basic-"T" instrument group, are
XA required. (One system shall operate the pilot's compass card, one
XA the Co-pilot's compass card. Automatic slaving of one of the two
XA stabilized systems may be inoperative provided:
XA (a) Standby magnetic compass is operative, and
XA (b) At least one of the two compass cards on each pilot's panel
XA is driven by the slaved system, using alternate switching as
XA appropriate.
XA (2) For VFR conditions one independently stabilized system may be
XA inoperative at least one compass heading is available on each
XA pilot's instrument panel.
XA
XA NOTE:____ Due to the variety of switching methods between airlines,
XA it is left to each operator to provide his own particular
XA procedure. Refer to table on next page for guidance.
