XA (f) Operate air data test set to provide static pressure required
XA for test point one on Fig. 510 and observe that metric altitude
XA indicator displays an altitude within tolerances of test point
XA one.
XA NOTE:____Rate of pressure decrease must not exceed 3000 feet per
XA minute. When pressure is within 300 to 600 feet of
XA desired test point, rate of pressure decrease must not
XA exceed 600 feet per minute.
XA (g) Repeat (f) for test points two through six on Fig. 510; upon
XA completion, maintain static system altitude at 39,370 feet.
XA (h) Operate air data test set so as to decrease altitude at a rate
XA of approximately 3000 feet per minute until zero feet is
XA reached.
XA NOTE:____Do not overshoot this point as it would cause the data
XA to be inaccurate. A hysteresis test requires the
XA application of pressure in one direction only.
XA (i) Note that altitude reading on metric altitude indicator does
XA not exceed | 10 meters.
XA E. _______________________
ALTIMETERS GROUND CHECK XA (1) Provide for local atmospheric pressure of the moment. XA (2) On each altimeter set CADC/STBY to STBY position. XA XA Verify that the "STBY" label appears in the upper left window. XA XA (3) Operate the Baro set knob at each altimeter to read the local XA atmospheric pressure in the altimeter display windows (M. Bor in XA HG) XA (4) Verify that each altimeter indicates zero | 20 Ft altitude. XA XA Verify that the difference between CAPT and first officer XA altimeters does not exceed | 30 Ft. XA XA F. _____________________________________
VERTICAL SPEED INDICATOR GROUND CHECK XA (1) Verify that each vertical speed indicator indicates zero | 100 XA Ft/min. XA (2) If necessary adjust zero using the lower left corner set screw.
G. Return Airplane to Normal
(1)
Return the pitot-static systems to ambient pressure (Ref 34-11-00).
(2)
Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).

CENTRAL AIR DATA COMPUTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
________________________________________________
1. Referenced Procedures
_____________________
A. 34-11-00, Adjustment/Test
B. 34-12-00, Adjustment/Test (Operational Test)
2. Remove Central Air Data Computer
________________________________
A. Open circuit breakers CADC 1 and 2 and CADC SYNC EXCIT 1 and 2 on panel P7.
CAUTION: PITOT AND STATIC SYSTEM PRESSURES MUST BE AT AMBIENT BEFORE
_______ PROCEEDING TO AVOID INSTRUMENT DAMAGE.
B. Disconnect pitot-static system hoses from computer's front panel by operating quick-disconnect fittings.
C. Unlatch cam-lock handles and remove computer from equipment rack.
3. Install Central Air Data Computer
_________________________________
A. Install computer on equipment shelf and latch cam-lock handles.
B. Connect pitot and static system hoses from stanchion 2 to the two quick-disconnect fittings on front panel of computer.
NOTE: Use hose labeled captain's pitot system (for computer No. 1) or
____ first officer's pitot system (for computer No. 2) for input marked P (red fitting). Use hose labeled captain's static system (for computer No. 1) or first officer's static system (for computer No. 2) for input marked S (yellow fitting).
AF C. Perform operational test of pitot-static connections (34-11-00).
D. Close circuit breakers opened in step 2.A.
E. Perform central air data computer system operational test (34-12-00). XA F. For all U.S. registered airplanes, XA perform altitude reporting test according to paragraph 3, 4 or 5 of ATC XA system adjustment/test procedure (Ref. 34-53-00).
