press and hold TEST switch. Slowly adjust SEL ALT control to 1000 feet from airplane altitude. Check that flashing annunciators go off as selected altitude reaches 900 | 200 feet from airplane altitude.

 (9)  AF 121, 122, 183, 184; On airplanes with digital computer P/N 70-200-07 or P/N 70-200-09, switch airplane power from ground to APU power and then from APU to ground power and verify that altitude alert lights do not stay "ON" more than 15 seconds.
NOTE: Aural Alert may be annunciated during power transfer.
____

 (10) Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).

 B. Prepare for Test
 (1)
Perform operational test. Do not remove electrical power.

 (2)
Pressurize first officer's pitot and static systems (Ref 34-11-00).

 (3)
Using the pneumatic test set, adjust first officer's altitude indicator to 0 feet.

 C. Test System
 (1)
Failure Warning Indication Test

 (a)
Set ALT SEL control to 1200 feet.

 (b)
Open ALTIT ALERT COMP circuit breaker. Check that aural warning module sounds for 2 | 1/2 seconds and annunciators come on.

 (c)
Open ALTIT ALERT MON circuit breaker. Check that annunciators go off.

 (d)
Close ALTIT ALERT COMP and MON circuit breakers.

 (e)
Open CADC NO. 2 PWR circuit breaker. Check that aural warning module sounds for 2 | 1/2 seconds and annunciators come on. Close circuit breaker.

 (2)
Self-Test

 (a)
Set first officer's altitude indicator to 1200 feet by adjusting pitot-static test set.

 (b)
Set ALT SEL control to 100 feet.

 (c)
Push and hold altitude alert TEST switch. Slowly increase selected altitude to 2500 feet. Check that alert signals occur as follows:

NOTE: The altitude alert TEST switch inhibits landing gear
____ interlock and altitude select inhibiting circuits within altitude alert computer. On P/N 965-0184-001 the alert signal will repeat a steady light every 5000 feet when TEST switch is engaged.
