B. Connect pitot and static system hoses to quick-disconnect fittings on rear of indicator case.
NOTE: Quick-disconnect fittings are red for pitot system, yellow for
____
static system.
C. Slide indicator into position in instrument panel and secure with instrument mounting clamp.
CAUTION: INSERT INDICATOR INTO PANEL WITH CARE TO AVOID STRESS AND/OR
_______
DAMAGE TO CABLE AND PNEUMATIC HOSES.
AF D. AT; AZ; GN; IB; LH; MD; SN; VN; AF 121, 122, 157, 161, 183, 184; install instrument memory indicator (IMI) ring on instrument face. NOTE: On LH 011-030, 051-070, 082-099; AF 114-199; MD 501-599; GN
____ 601-699; AT 701-799; and IB 406-499, plus ATLAS airplanes incorporating SB 34-2060, the following inspection of the airspeed indicator hoses is not required.
E. Accomplish inspection of airspeed indicator pneumatic hoses as follows:

(1) Remove horizontal situation indicator (HSI) from instrument panel by loosening upper right and lower left clamp adjusting screw.
NOTE: Do not loosen upper left or lower right mounting screws.
____ These screws hold the clamp in place behind the instrument panel.
(2)
Press on clamp adjusting screws to loosen clamp and pull HSI out of instrument panel. Do not disconnect electrical connectors from HSI.
(3)
Visually inspect hoses through HSI opening in instrument panel for kinks and deformity. If a hose is kinked more than 45 degrees from disconnect fitting centerline, reduce hose angle bend to 45 degrees or less by repositioning hose or panel wire bundles. Some permanent hose deformation can exist without affecting instrument performance. If hose is excessively deformed or damaged, replace hose assembly.
NOTE: To reposition a wire bundle, it may be necessary to pull the
____ instrument panel aft to obtain access. When panel is repositioned, the hoses should be reinspected to assure that a hose has not been kinked.
(4) Reinstall HSI in instrument panel. AF F. Perform operational test of indicator pitot-static connections AF (Ref 34-11-00).
G. Test indicator electrical connections as follows:
(1)
Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-00).
(2)
Close all circuit breakers opened in step 2.A.
(3)
Check that indicator OFF flag is out of view.
(4)
Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-00).
