4. Remove Pitot-Static Probe (Fig. 401)
_________________________
A. Dig just under surface of sealant surrounding probe base to expose nylon cord. Grasp cord and pull out to break up sealant.
B. Remove six screws from probe mounting flange.
C. Grasping probe strut, loosen gasket and pull probe directly and gently out from airplane skin until three fittings on base of probe are exposed.
D. Unscrew the three hose fittings.
CAUTION: APPLY COUNTERPRESSURE USING WRENCHES ON EACH SIDE OF FITTING
_______ DURING DISASSEMBLY TO PREVENT TUBING OR FITTING DAMAGE.
E. Disconnect electrical connector at base of probe and remove probe.
F. Cap three hose end that remain in airplane to prevent entry of foreign material unless a probe will be immediately installed.
G. Remove gasket and discard.
5. Install Pitot-Static Probe (Fig. 401)
