(1) Lift the aircraft on jacks (Ref. TASK 07-11-00-581-001).
R R R (2) Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005833) or the GROUNDLOCK SLEEVE (460007280) is installed on the applicable MLG lockstay actuating cylinder (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
R R (2) Make sure that the Yellow and Green Hydraulic systems are de-pressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
R (3) Depressurize the Green Hydraulic-system reservoir (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

D. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
(2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers.

R A. Removal of the MLG Lockstay Actuating Cylinder
WARNING : DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:_______ - FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER - GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT_______ STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1) Disconnect one end of the MLG lock springs from the MLG side-stay (Ref. TASK 32-11-19-000-003).
(2) Remove the MLG lockstay actuating cylinder as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (10).
(b) Remove the nut (9) and the washer (8).
(c) Release the tab washer (16).
R R R (d) Use the TOOL-HOLDING (460006437) to hold the pin (13) and remove the bolt (15), the tab washer (16) and the sleeve (17). Discard the tab washer (16).
R R WARNING : CUT, REMOVE AND DISCARD THE LOCKWIRE AS YOU DO THE_______ TASK. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.

(e) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (5).
(f)
Remove the bolts (5) and the washers (4) from the hoses (1).
(g)
Move the hoses (1) away from the actuating cylinder (12). Remove and discard the packings (3) and the back-up packings (2).
(h)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(3)
If the actuating cylinder is to be replaced:
-remove the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE from the applicable actuating cylinder.
(4)
Hold the actuating cylinder (12) (weight 3.3 kg (7.2752 lb)) and
remove: R - the pin (7)
-the washers (6) and (11) R - the pin (13)
-the washers (14).
(5) Remove the actuating cylinder (12).
