(1)
Make sure that the lockstay has been safetied to the side-stay.
(2)
Install the SPLINT ASSEMBLY - SIDE STAY (98D32104013001) on the side-stay assembly (19) with:
-
the cables to the wing surface
-
the strap to the wing surface
-
the center joint of the side-stay located in the center hole of the side-stay splint assembly.
(3)
Tighten the strap and connect the cables to the hook. Tighten the cable.

R (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a
R MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS
R (Material No. 11-026).
R (2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are
R clean and in the correct condition.
R (4) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
R (5) Examine these components for corrosion, damage and wear:
R - the pin (1)
R - the bushes in the side-stay bracket
R - the cardan bracket (3)
R - the bores of the MLG attachment lugs
R - the proximity sensors attachment brackets.
R (6) Get a new bolt (4) for installation.
R NOTE : In the step that follows, make sure that the Materials No.____
R 04-004 and No. 04-022 are not mixed together. Do not use them
R at the same time (Ref. SIL 12-008).
R (7) Lubricate with COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) or COMMON GREASE
R (Material No. 04-022):
R - the pin (1)
R - the bushes in the side-stay bracket
R - the seal (54)
R - the bores of the MLG attachment lugs.

(1)
