(4) Make sure that the access platform is adjacent to the applicable MLG.

A. Preparation For Installation
(1)
Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the 1M and 2M Harnesses on the MLG Axle
(1) Make sure that there are no kinks in the 1M and 2M harnesses. CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE IDENTIFIED
_______ WITH THEIR FIN NO. TO CORRECTLY CONNECT EACH PLUG TO ITS RELATED RECEPTACLE. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

(2)
Identify the positions of the three cableforms at the end of each harness.
(3)
If necessary, attach a draw string to each applicable cableform at the cable access holes.
(4)
Pull the draw strings through the axle, one at a time, to put the cableforms in position. Remove the draw strings.
(5)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(6)
For the 1M harness:
(Ref. Fig. 408/TASK 32-11-43-991-028)
(a)
Put the electrical connector (15) in the slot of the bracket (6). Make sure that the connector nut (16) is behind the bracket (6).
(b)
Install the connector (15) with the bolts (17), the washers (14) and the nuts (13).
(c)
Tighten the connector nut (16).
