R  (g) Finger tighten the nut (3) against the locking device (7) and the  
R  tube assy. (6).  
R  (h) Make sure that the rod-end (2) and the fixed rod-end are at 90  
R  degrees to each other.  
R  1 Check that the rod-end (2) is in safety._  
R  NOTE : A probe of diameter 0.8 mm (0.0314 in.) should not go____  
R  through the inspection hole (4) in the tube assy. (6). 
 (2) For the rod-end (2):

R  (a) Loosen the nut (3) and remove the rod-end (2) together with the  
R  locking device (7) and the nut (3).  
R  (b) Remove and discard the locking device (7) and remove the nut (3)  
R  from the rod-end (2).  
R  (c) Put the nut (3) in position on the new rod-end (2) and screw it  
R  on as far as it will go.  
R  (d) Put the new locking device (7) in position on the rod-end (2).  
R  (e) Put the rod-end (2) in position in the tube assy. (6) and adjust  
R  it until you get the reference dimension 'B'.
