Remove the old lubricant and dirt from the passenger crew door seal and the seal contact areas to the fuselage, use a clean cloth. Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-001) to the passenger crew door seal and the seal contact area to the fuselage.
(5) Apply STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005A) to all visible
interior surfaces and structure of the doors. Apply STORAGE
PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005A) to the outer handle of the doors.
NOTE : Do not apply STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005A) to____
the outer handle grip.
(6) Remove the old lubricant and dirt from the emergency exit hatches
seal and the seal contact areas to the fuselage, use a clean cloth.
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-001) to the emergency exit
hatches seal and the seal contact area to the fuselage.

R fittings and guide rollers, use a clean cloth.
R (3) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-017) to the upper and lower door
R guide fittings and guide rollers.
R (4) Remove the old lubricant and dirt from the passenger crew door seal
R and the seal contact areas to the fuselage, use a clean cloth. Apply
R SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-001) to the passenger crew door
R seal and the seal contact area to the fuselage.
R (5) Apply STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005A) to all visible

B. Winter Preparation of the FWD, AFT and BULK Cargo-Compartment Doors.
(1)
Make sure that the pressure seal drains of the cargo-compartment doors are clear and not blocked.
(2)
Use a lint-free cotton cloth, MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) and the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) to clean these components of the applicable cargo-compartment doors:
-
the pressure seals and their contact areas on the fuselage
-
the vent panel seals
-
the external operating handles
-
the door hinges and the guide fittings
-
the internal mechanisms of the vent panels, lock shafts, operating handles and latch assemblies.
(3)
Apply the silicone grease, SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-001) to the door frame. Apply the silicone grease, COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-011) to the pressure seals.
(4)
Apply the silicone grease, SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-001) to the vent panel frame. Apply the silicone grease, COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-011) or the pure mineral vaseline, COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the vent panel seals.
(5)
Apply the temporary protective compound, STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005A) to the external control handles and shafts.
(6)
Lubricate the door hinges, guide fittings and the door locking mechanism (Ref. TASK 12-22-52-640-002) (vent door mechanism, latching and locking mechanism) .
(7)
Apply the temporary protective compound, STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005A) to the latch assemblies and the latch spools.
(8)
Apply the temporary protective compound, STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005A) as a spray, to the lower internal bays of the doors.
