R A. Electronic Control Box 59KD (ECB 59KD)
R (1) If the Outside Air Temperature (OAT) is/will be lower than -40 deg.C
R (-40.00 deg.F) and the aircraft is not pre-conditioned (heated)
R alternatively:
R - through the LP ground connection (Ref. TASK 12-33-21-618-001),
R - the HP ground connection (Ref. TASK 12-33-21-618-001), or
R - with the APU (Ref. TASK 12-33-21-618-001).
R (a) Remove the ECB 59KD from the aircraft
R - If a GTCP 36-300 APU is installed
R (Ref. TASK 49-61-34-000-001)
R - If an APS 3200 APU is installed
R (Ref. TASK 49-61-34-000-002)
R - If a 131-9(A) APU is installed
R (Ref. TASK 49-61-34-000-003)
R (b) Keep the ECB 59KD in a dry storage at a temperature of between 15
R deg.C (59.00 deg.F) and 35 deg.C (95.00 deg.F).

R CAUTION : USE ONLY APPROVED TYPES/BRANDS OF LUBRICANTS. DO NOT MIX TYPES_______
R OF LUBRICANTS (TYPE 1 3-CTS OIL WITH TYPE 2 5-CTS OIL). DO NOT
R MIX OILS OF DIFFERENT BRANDS MORE THAN NECESSARY.
R NOTE : It is recommended to use type 1 OILS (Material No. 03-003) for APU____
R operation in cold weather conditions.
R (1) Oil type.
R (a) If necessary, do an oil change to type 1 OILS (Material No. 03-
R 003)
R - If a GTCP 36-300 APU is installed
R (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-002).
R - If an APS 3200 APU is installed
R (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-005).
R - If a 131-9(A) APU is installed
R (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-008).
R (2) If no external power is available (Ref. TASK 12-31-24-660-001).
R (a) It is recommended to start the APU every three hours and operate
R it for one hour if the Outside Air Temperature (OAT) is lower
