For VFX flights:
- SI code capability in new aircraft by 3 1 March 2005.
- SI code capability in all aircraft that are already equipped with transponders having Mode A
4096 code capability and Mode C altitude reporting by 3 1 March 2008.
Remarks: Published in AIC Germany IFX 6; 23 January 2003. Validity of the above differences
will elapse when the mentioned dates have passed.
SUPPLEMENT TO ANNEX1 0, VOLUME 1V (THIRD EDITION) NEW ZEALAND1
CHAPTER 3 In accordance with New Zealand Civil Aviation Rules an aircraft operating in transpondermandatory
airspace .designated under Civil Aviation Rules Part71 must, unless otherwise
authorized or instructed by ATC, have an operating Mode A/C or Mode S transponder that
complies with the requirements of TSO C74c or TSO C112.
CHAPTER 4 ACAS I1 equipment carried pursuant to Civil Aviation Rules must meet the requirements of
TSO C119b.

2.1.3.2.1 Norway does not comply with the article. Carriage and operation of SSR transponders is
mandatory in designated airspace only.

2.1.5.1.7.1 Norway does not comply with the article. SI code capability in accordance with provisions of
2.1.5.1.7.1 will be required from 3 1 March 2004 for new aircraft and by 31 March 2005 for all
aircraft equipped with Mode S transponder.

2.1.5.1.7.1 The requirement for SI code capability for new Mode S transponder installations is postponed
until 3 1 March 2004 and for all Mode S transponders until 31 March 2005.
Remarks: According to EUROCONTROL transition document

1. Amendment No. 1 to the Supplement to Annex 10, Volume IV, provides additional information received from
States up to 3 August 2004 with respect to all amendments up to and including Amendment 78.
2. To incorporate this amendment:
a) replace existing pages (iii) and (iv) with the attached replacement pages dated 3/8/04; and
b) record the entry of this amendment on page (ii).
