Remove the protection caps.
(b)
Lubricate the new gasket (19) with the beeswax.
(c)
Put the new gasket (19) on the boss of the diffuser and combustor case.
(d)
Install the fuel injector (5) in the boss on the diffuser and combustor case.
NOTE: Turn or lift the fuel injector, as it is necessary, to
____ install the fuel injector in the diffuser and combustor case.
1) Align the bolt holes in the support with the bolt holes in the diffuser and combustor case.
(e)
Lubricate the threads of the bolts (21) with engine oil.
(f)
Install the bolts (21) to attach the fuel injector (5) to the diffuser and combustor case. 1) Tighten the bolts (21) to 65-85 pound-inches (7.3-9.6
newton-meters). 2) Tighten the bolts (21) again to 65-85 pound-inches (7.3-9.6 newton-meters) until you keep the necessary torque. 3) Install the lockwire or safety cable and safety cable ferrule to the bolts (21).
(g)
Lubricate the new packing (20) with the petroleum jelly.
(h)
Install the new packing (20) to the groove on each of the three fuel injectors (5).
(i)
Lubricate the new packings (3) with the petroleum jelly.
(j)
Install the new packings (3) on each end of the transfer tube (2).
(k)
Install the transfer tube (2) in the supply tube (1).
(l)
Connect the fuel manifold (4) to the fuel injectors (5).
NOTE: You will tighten the fuel manifold nuts after you do the
____ leak check of the fuel manifold.
1) Lubricate the threads of the fuel injectors (5) with engine oil.

1) Lubricate the threads of the fuel manifold inlet (4) with
engine oil. 2) Connect the fuel supply tube (1) to the fuel manifold (4). 3) Tighten the supply tube nut (1) with your hand.

(a)
Remove the caps from the fitting on the diffuser case and the port on the HPC rear case.
(b)
Install the gasket (167) in the groove in the port on the HPC rear case.
(c)
Install the deflector (166) in the port on the HPC rear case.
1) Align the pin on the deflector (166) with the alignment hole in the HPC rear case.
(d)
Lubricate the threads of the tube nut (155) with the
antigalling compound.
(e)
Attach the new gasket (165) to the flange of the air vent tube (157) with the paraffin wax.
(f)
Put the air vent tube (157) in position on the engine.
