7) Install the lockwire or safety cable and safety cable ferrule from the coupling nut to the adapter.
8) Tighten the bolt that attaches the clamp and the ground strap to the bracket on the housing to 36-40 pound-inches (4.067-4.519 newton-meters).
(m) ENGINES POST-PW-SB 73-161; Connect the EEC wire harness to the thermocouple probe (71): 1) Connect the lugs (44) of the EEC wire harness to the studs
of the thermocouple probe (71) and loosely install the nuts (64 and 65) and washers (66 and 70). 2) Loosely install the clamp, ground strap and bolt to the bracket on the housing.
CAUTION: TOO MUCH TORQUE (MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM TORQUE) ON THE
_______ THERMOCOUPLE PROBE NUTS CAN LOOSEN OR DAMAGE THE THERMOCOUPLE STUDS.
3) Tighten the nuts (64) on the alumel studs to 18-22 pound-inches (2.0-2.5 newton-meters). 4) Tighten the nuts (65) on the chromel studs to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0 newton-meters).
5) Tighten the bolt that attaches the clamp and the ground strap to the bracket on the housing to 36-40 pound-inches (4.067-4.519 newton-meters).
(n) Install the main fuel supply hose (10) and the bracket (18): 1) Put the gasket (21), main fuel supply hose (10), and
bracket (18) on the inlet port of the fuel pump (11). 2) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (19) with engine oil. 3) Install the main fuel supply hose (10) and the bracket (18)
to the inlet port of the fuel pump (11) with the bolts (19) and the washers (20). 4) Tighten the bolts (19) to 100-140 pound-inches (11.3-15.9 newton-meters).

Install the fuel bypass valve (AMM 73-11-07/401).

Connect the electrical connector DM3108 (39A) to the FMU (6):

Remove the cap from the electrical connector (39A).
(b)
Connect the electrical connector (39A) to the FMU (6).
