Lubricate the threads of the bolts (117) with engine oil.

 (o)  
Attach the clamps (118) to the brackets on the diffuser case and the No. 8 fuel injector with the bolts (117) and nuts (116). 1) Tighten the nuts (116) with your hand.

(p)  
Tighten the bolts (123, 125, 126, 127 and 128) at each end of the duct (115), from one corner to the opposite corner, to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 newton-meters).

 (q)  
Tighten the bolts (123, 125, 126, 127 and 128) again to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 newton-meters) until you keep the necessary torque.

 (r)  
Install the lockwire on the bolts (123, 125, 126, 127 and 128) to the diffuser case.

 (4)  
Attach the fuel manifold clamp (57) to the bracket on the diffuser case.

 (a)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt (55) with engine oil.

 (b)  
Attach the clamp (57) with the bolt (55) and the nut (56).


 1)  Tighten the nut (56) to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (5)  
Attach the heat shield (107) on the engine with the steps that follow (Refer to Fig. 402, Sheet 2):

 (a)  
Install the heat shield (107) on the engine to the brackets with the screws (108) and washers (109) and the bolts (104), washers (105) and nuts (106). 1) Tighten the nuts (106) and the screws (108).

 (6)  
Connect the cable (100) for the exciter-to-igniter plug to the lower igniter plug (Fig. 402, Sheet 1).

 (a)  
Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut for the cable (100) with the antiseize compound.

 (b)  
Connect the coupling nut to the igniter plug.

 (c)  
Tighten the coupling nut to 140-160 pound-inches (15.8-18.1 newton-meters).


 NOTE: Make sure the coupling nut is tightened to the
____ correct torque value . An incorrect tightened coupling nut can cause high ignition noise which can have an effect on the airplane radio equipment.

(d)  
Put the heat shields (101, 103) on the cable (100).

 (e)  
Bend the tabs of the heat shields (101, 103) into the groove in the igniter plug boss.

 (f)  
Attach the heat shields (101, 103) with the clamp (102).

 (g)  
Tighten the clamp (102) to 40-45 pound-inches (4.5-5.1 newton-meters).

Install the starter (AMM 80-11-01/401).

 1) 6L10 FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 1

 3) 6L12 FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 3
 4) 6L13 FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 4

For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6F1 IGN 1 ENG 1
 2) 6F2 IGN 1 ENG 2
 3) 6F3 IGN 1 ENG 3
 4) 6F4 IGN 1 ENG 4
 5) 6K19 IGN 2 ENG 1
 6) 6K20 IGN 2 ENG 2
 7) 6K21 IGN 2 ENG 3
 8) 6K22 IGN 2 ENG 4
 9) 6G19 STBY IGN ENG 1
 10) 6G20 STBY IGN ENG 2
 11) 6G21 STBY IGN ENG 3
 12) 6G22 STBY IGN ENG 4
