 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE ENGINE IGNITION
_______ BEFORE YOU OPEN THE FUEL CONT VALVE. THE IGNITER PLUGS WILL AUTOMATICALLY FIRE IF YOU ARE OUT OF ZERO DETENT, NACELLE ANTI-ICE IS ON, CON IGNITION SWITCH IS SET TO "ON", OR ENGINE START SWITCH IS PULLED TO "ON". IF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER HAS FUEL IN IT, AN INTERNAL ENGINE OR A TAILPIPE FIRE CAN OCCUR. THE FIRE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
 (2)  
For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers and install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6F1 IGN 1 ENG 1
 2) 6F2 IGN 1 ENG 2
 3) 6F3 IGN 1 ENG 3
 4) 6F4 IGN 1 ENG 4
 5) 6K19 IGN 2 ENG 1
 6) 6K20 IGN 2 ENG 2
 7) 6K21 IGN 2 ENG 3
 8) 6K22 IGN 2 ENG 4
 9) 6G19 STBY IGN ENG 1
 10) 6G20 STBY IGN ENG 2
 11) 6G21 STBY IGN ENG 3
 12) 6G22 STBY IGN ENG 4

 (4)  Open the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

 WARNING: DO THE THRUST REVERSER DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THE
_______ OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (5)  
Do this procedure: Thrust Reverser Deactivation for Ground Maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (6)  
Open the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

 WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN AMM 78-31-00/201 WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (7)  
Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Procedure

 S 024-436-N00
 (1)  
Remove the No. 7, 8 or 9 fuel injector and support.

 (a)  
If you will remove the No. 7 fuel injector, remove the No. 2 turbine-vane cooling-air duct (AMM 75-24-02/401).

 (b)  
If you will remove the No. 7 fuel injector, remove the bolt (35) and nut (33) which attach the support tube for the wire harness (34) to the bracket (14).

(c)  
If you will remove the No. 8 fuel injector, remove the bolt (42) and nut (41) which attach the clamp (40) to the bracket (13).

 (d)  
If you will remove the No. 9 fuel injector, do the steps that follow: 1) Remove the bolt (48), nut (43) and washer (49) which attach

 the support (50) to the bracket (12). 2) Remove the bolt (47), nut (44) and washer (45) which attach the bracket (46) to the bracket (12).

 (e)  
Put the container below the fuel manifold (4).

 (f)  
Disconnect the supply tube (1) from the fuel manifold (4).

 (g)  
Disconnect the fuel manifold (4) from all three fuel injectors (5).

 (h)  
Remove the fuel manifold (4) from the engine. 1) Install caps on the openings in the fuel manifold. 2) Discard the packings (20).

 (i)  
Remove the transfer tube (2) from the supply tube (1). 1) Discard the packings (3) from the transfer tube (2).

 (j)  
Remove the bolts (21) which attach the fuel injector (5) and the bracket (12, 13, or 14) to the diffuser and combustor case.
