A. If the FUEL - AUTO TRANSFER FAULT warning/FAULT legend is given or the Main Transfer System Auto Control fails to operate as specified:
(1) Refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), defuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001) to obtain these fuel levels:
- left wing tank 5100 kg (1124 lb)
- right wing tank 5100 kg (1124 lb)
- center tank more than 300 kg (660 lb).
(2) Set the Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitoring ECAM system to on (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001), then: - on the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL P/BSW in
- make sure that the FUEL page shows on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
(3) Push the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/MODE SEL/AUTO (4QL) in (set to AUTO).
(4) Push all the wing tank fuel pump P/BSWs in (set to on)
(5) Push both the center tank L and R XFR P/BSWs in (set to on).
(6) Examine the FUEL page on the ECAM lower DU.
(7) If the following occurs:
(a) Center tank left side XFR shown off. 1 Temporarily remove the FLSCU-1 (7QJ) from its rack (Ref. AMM

TASK 28-46-34-000-001).
2 Examine the FUEL page on the ECAM lower DU.
_
3 If the left side XFR:
_ a Operates correctly and shows on:
_
- replace the FLSCU-1 (7QJ) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-34-000-001), and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-34-400-001).
b Shows off:
_
- re-install the original FLSCU-1 (7QJ) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-34-400-001).
4 If the fault continues:
_ a Do a check (Ref. ASM 28-26/02) and replace if necessary:
_
- RELAY-AUTO CTL, No 1 CTR TK (7QL)
- RELAY-TANK LOW LVL No 1 CTR (9QL).

b_ Do a check (Ref. ASM 28-26/02) of the:
- aircraft wiring (logic 2/recirc. off (ground) line)
between the FLSCU-1 (7QJ) rack connector AA, pin 11D and
the RELAY-AUTO CTL, No 1 CTR (7QL), terminal X2
- aircraft wiring (CTR TK low level off (ground) line)
between the FLSCU-1 (7QJ) rack connector AA, pin 8B and
the RELAY-TANK LOW LVL No 1 CTR(9QL), terminal X2
- aircraft wiring (CTR TK low level off + 300 seconds
(ground) line) between the RELAY (9QL), terminal B1 and
the RELAY (7QL), terminal X2.
c Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors.

d Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
_
(b) Center tank right side XFR shown off.
1 Temporarily remove the FLSCU-2 (9QJ) from its rack (Ref. AMM
_ TASK 28-46-34-000-001).
2 Examine the FUEL page on the ECAM lower DU.
_
3 If the right side XFR:
_ a Operates correctly and shows on:
_
- replace the FLSCU-2 (9QJ) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-34-000-001), and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-34-400-001).
b Shows off:
_
- re-install the original FLSCU-2 (9QJ) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-34-400-001).
4 If the fault continues:
_
a Do a check (Ref. ASM 28-26/02) and replace if necessary:
_
- RELAY-AUTO CTL, No 2 CTR TK (8QL)
- RELAY-TANK LOW LVL No 2 CTR (10QL).
b Do a check (Ref. ASM 28-26/02) of the:
_
- aircraft wiring (logic 2/recirc. off (ground) line) between the FLSCU-2 (9QJ) rack connector AA, pin 11D and the RELAY-AUTO CTL, No 2 CTR (8QL), terminal X2
- aircraft wiring (CTR TK low level off (ground) line) between the FLSCU-2 (9QJ) rack connector AA, pin 8B and the RELAY-TANK LO LVL No 2 CTR(10QL), terminal X2
- aircraft wiring (CTR TK low level off + 300 seconds (ground) line) between the RELAY (10QL), terminal B1 and the RELAY (8QL), terminal X2.
c Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors.

d Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
