(1) On the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL (1WD) located on the overhead panel 20VU, make sure that the ENG 1 FIRE PUSH pushbutton switch (P/BSW) is in the closed and guarded position.
(2) On the ECAM Control Panel 11VU, push (in) the FUEL P/BSW to get the FUEL system page on the ECAM lower display unit (DU).
(3) Set the ENG/MASTER 1 (3KC) switch (panel 115VU) to ON.
(4) Examine the ENG 1 LP fuel valve symbol on the FUEL system page.
(5) Examine the see/feel indicator on the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 1 (9QG). (Ref. P. Block 301).

(6) If the FUEL page shows the ENG 1 LP fuel valve symbol as green, in line, and the see/feel indicator on the ENG 1 LP fuel valve shows that the valve is open:
- maintenance steps are not necessary.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the FUEL page shows the ENG 1 LP fuel valve symbol as an amber cross line, and the see/feel indicator on the ENG 1 LP fuel valve shows that the valve is closed. (Ref. P. Block 301).
(1) Examine for obvious signs of damage the items that follow:
- the actuator supply cables and end connectors
- the actuator electrical recepticals
- the cable looms next to the actuators.
NOTE : Left Wing Wire Routing (Ref. AWM 94-05-02).

(2) Repair/replace all the unserviceable wiring and connectors.
(3) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(4) Disconnect the electrical supply cable connector 9QG-A from the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 1 (9QG).
(5) With a multimeter do a test to see if the 28VDC supply is available at the connector 9QG-A between the pins as shown in the table below.
