7 Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
_
(d) If a leak is found in the center tank: 1 Get access to the applicable side of the center tank (Ref. AMM
_
TASK 28-21-52-000-003).
2 Examine the items that follow (to see/find out what can cause
_ the leak) for damage, incorrect assembly or installation:
a The applicable fuel pump canister including the blanking
_ plate installed on the unused fuel outlet. Replace, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-52-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-52-400-003).
b The adjacent main-pump-system pipe-lines.
_ Replace, if necessary all the unserviceable pipe sections and connections (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-400-001).
3 Refuel the center fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

4 Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
_ R **ON A/C 301-399,
R A. Procedure
R (1) Remove the (applicable) wing tank fuel pump (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-51-R 000-001).
R (2) If, during the removal of the fuel pump:
R (a) Approximately 0.5 l (0.2 USgal) of fuel flows from the fuel pump
R drain, do step (3).
R (b) More than approximately 0.5 l (0.2 USgal) of fuel, or fuel
R continues to flow from the fuel pump drain:
R 1_ Re-install the drain plug/bolt.
R 2_Do step (4).

R (3) Remove the check valve from the fuel pump canister (Ref. AMM TASK 28-R 21-52-000-004).
R (a) Do a check of the check valve, to see if it can open, as follows:
R 1_ Push the valve in (away from the valve seat). Make sure that
R the valve has a full and free movement.
R 2_ If the fuel-pump canister check-valve does not have a full and
R free movement, replace it with a serviceable item.
R (b) Install the check valve in the fuel pump canister (Ref. AMM TASK
R 28-21-52-400-004).
R (c) Install the fuel-pump (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-51-400-001).
R (d) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
R (4) If the fault continues:
R (a) Do the procedure for the Leak Test of the Main-Pump-System
R Pipe-Lines (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-00-790-001).
R Use the wing tank fuel pumps on the opposite wing to generate a
R fuel pressure to test the applicable engine feed pipe lines.
R (b) If no leak is found, no more trouble shooting steps are
R necessary.
R (c) If a leak is found:
R 1_ Get access to the applicable wing tank collector cell (Ref.
R AMM TASK 28-21-52-000-001).
R 2_ Examine the items that follow (to see/find out what can cause
R the leak) for damage, incorrect assembly or installation:
R a_ The applicable fuel pump canister.
R Replace, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-52-000-001) /
R (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-52-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-R 52-400-001) / (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-52-400-002).
R b_ The related check valve (149QM) (check valve (151QM)) and
R check valve (150QM) (check valve (152QM)).
R Replace, if necessary, the unserviceable check valve.
R c_ The adjacent main-pump-system pipe-lines.
R Replace, if necessary all the unserviceable pipe sections
R and connections (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-000-001) and (Ref.
R AMM TASK 28-00-00-400-001).

R 4_ Examine the engine fuel supply pipe-line, between the Rib 2
R and the exit point to the engine pylon at the forward spar,
R for damage, incorrect assembly or installation.
