- the left wing tank, less than 4950 kg (10913 lb) AND the center tank, more than 300 kg (660 lb)
- the right wing tank, less than 4950 kg (10913 lb) AND the center tank, more than 300 kg (660 lb).
The warnings will be reset if the fuel distribution for any reason changes as follows:
- the left wing tank, more than 5000 kg (11023 lb) OR the center tank, less than 250 kg (550 lb)
- the right wing tank, more than 5000 kg (11023 lb) OR the center tank, less than 250 kg (550 lb).
The source of the comparison logic which activates and resets this
warning is contained in the FQIC(3QT).
The FQIC warning/FAULT logic output is:
- activated and reset immediately the specified conditions are correct. This FQIC logic is inhibited during refuel.
The FQIC warning/FAULT logic output is transmitted on:
- two (2) ARINC bus lines to the FWC (ECAM)
- one (1) discrete signal line to the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/MODE SEL/AUTO (4QL) FAULT legend.
(1) Set the Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitoring (ECAM) system to on (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(a) On the ECAM control panel 11VU, push the FUEL P/BSW in.
(b) Make sure the FUEL page shows on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
(2) Refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), defuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001) to obtain these fuel levels:
- wing tanks less than 4950 kg (10913 lb)
- center tank more than 300 kg (660 lb).
(3) Make sure the 800VU refuel door/access panel (192MB/522KB/622KB as applicable) is closed.
(4) On the panel 40VU:
(a) Push the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/MODE SEL/AUTO (4QL) in (set to AUTO).
(b) Make sure the MODE SEL P/BSW (4QL) MAN legend is off.
(c) Make sure the MODE SEL P/BSW (4QL) FAULT legend comes on.

(5) Make sure:
- a single chime has been given - on the panels 130VU and 131VU, the MASTER CAUT lights are on
- the ECAM warning FUEL AUTO TRANSFER FAULT is given on the ECAM upper DU.
(6) Refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), or transfer fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001) to obtain these fuel levels:
- wing tanks more than 5000 kg (11023 lb)
- center tank less than 250 kg (550 lb).
(7) On the panel 40VU:
(a) Make sure the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/MODE SEL/AUTO (4QL) is set to in (AUTO).
(b) Make sure the MODE SEL P/BSW (4QL) MAN legend is off.
(c) Make sure the MODE SEL P/BSW (4QL) FAULT legend is off.
(8) Make sure:
- no chime has been given - on the panels 130VU and 131VU, the MASTER CAUT lights are off
- the ECAM warning FUEL AUTO TRANSFER FAULT is not given on the ECAM upper DU.
(9) If the center tank auto transfer system is suspected:
- do the Fuel, Main Transfer System - Auto Control Failure (Ref. TASK 28-26-00-810-801).
(10) If the FUEL - AUTO TRANSFER FAULT ECAM warning,
and the MODE SEL P/BSW (4QL) FAULT legend,
operate as specified:
- maintenance steps are not necessary.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the FUEL - AUTO TRANSFER FAULT ECAM warning,
and/or the MODE SEL P/BSW (4QL) FAULT legend,
do not operate as specified:
(1) Replace the FQIC (3QT) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001), and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).
(2) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(3) Do a check (Ref. ASM 28-26/02) and replace if necessary:
- the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/MODE SEL/AUTO (4QL).
(4) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.

(5) If the fault continues, do a check (Ref. ASM 28-26/02) of the:
- aircraft wiring (FAULT ground/earth line) between the FQIC (3QT) rack connector AC, pins 10K and the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/MODE SEL/AUTO (4QL), terminal C1
- switch wiring (FAULT ground/earth line) between the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/MODE SEL/AUTO (4QL) terminals C3 and 8. 中国航空网 www.aero.cn 航空翻译 www.aviation.cn 本文链接地址:A320 Trouble Shooting Manual 排故手册 FUEL 燃油2(102)
