(b) Make sure that the installed DMC - EIS SOFTWARE P/N shown on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page is not the same as the EIS SOFTWARE P/N written on the frontface of the new disk to load. _________
4. Procedure
Subtask 31-60-00-610-055
A. Connection of the cable of the PORTABLE DATA LOADER
NOTE : The procedure is intended for the DMC1 to be loaded.

On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER, make sure that the switch is in the OFF position
(2)
Remove the blanking cap from the PORTABLE DATA LOADER connector
(3)
Connect the cable of the PORTABLE DATA LOADER to the connector Subtask 31-60-00-610-056

UP LOADING Procedure of the DMC1:

1. On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER
-Set the ON/OFF switch to ON
2. In the stowage box:
-Get the disks related to the EIS
3.
On the RESET control panel 49VU:
- open the RESET DMC1 circuit breaker 10WT1
4.
On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER:
-put the first disk into the disk drive, with the label in the forward direction
5. On the RESET control panel 49VU
-Close the RESET DMC1 circuit breaker 10WT1 On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER :
-
the < < MDDU READY > > indication comes into view
On the Captain's PFD and ND:
-
the message INVALID DATA comes intoview
On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER:
-
the READY indication followed by theWAIT RESPONSE indication come intoview
On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER:
-
the READY indication followed by theWAIT RESPONSE indication and

Wait for 10 minutes with the TRANSF IN PROG
7.
On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER
-remove the disk from the disk drive
8. Repeat steps 4, 5, 6 and 7 for every other disk to be loaded
NOTE : It is not neccessary to reset
____ the DMC circuit breaker (only for the first disk).
9. On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER:
-put the last disk into the disk drive wiht the label in the forward direction
10.
wait for 10 minutes with the TRANSF IN PROG displayed on the PORTABLE DATA LOADER
11.
On the PORTABLE DATA LOADER
-Remove the last disk from the disk drive
5. Close-up

immediately after the TRANSFER IN PROG indication, come into view
