(12) VOR Buses There is no switching between the two buses received by the DMC, which displays the information from both buses on the same ND. If the parameter is invalid the related display is flagged.
(13) DME Buses There is no switching between the two buses received by the DMC, which displays the information from both buses on the same ND.
(14) ADF Buses There is no switching between the two buses received by the DMC, which displays the information from both buses on the same ND.
(15) ILS Buses There is no switching between the two buses received by the DMC, which displays the information from both buses on the same ND or the PFD.
(16) Radioalti buses The DMC uses normally a parameter of the bus from the same side (DMC1 uses the RA1). When this parameter is invalid the DMC uses the parameter of the bus from the other side. In this case a parameter is flagged only if invalid on both buses.
(17) Wheather radar buses The weather radar supplies two buses to the DMC, normally the DMC1 uses the bus 1 and the DMC uses the bus 2, but in case of FMGC1 failure the DMC1 uses the FMGC2 and switches over to the bus 2 from the weather radar. Similarly the DMC2 use the FMGC1 in case of FMGC2 failure and switches over to the bus 1 from the weather radar.
R **ON A/C 051-099,
R R R R When two weather radars are installed the DMC processes the two buses of the one which is working, as only one weather radar unit is working at a time.

(18) FADEC buses (ATA 77) Each DMC receives 2 engine buses one from the channel A and one from the channel B (these 2 channels are redundant). The DMC uses normally the channel in control. If a parameter is invalid on this channel, the DMC switches to the other channel for this parameter. Then a parameter is flagged only if invalid on both buses.
NOTE : By FADEC bus we mean the ECU bus.

C. DMC Output Signals
(1) Hard-Wired Discrete Output Signals The following table gives the list of all the discrete outputs from the DMC1, with their coding. The DMC2 and 3 have the same outputs as the DMC1. Briefly, these are:
-DMC validity signal
-PFD/ND automatic transfer control in case of loss of CAPT PFD
-Upper ECAM DU - Lower ECAM DU automatic transfer control
-ECAM channel (DPU and associated DU) availability.

(2) DMC ARINC 429 Output Buses The DMCs transmit digital signals on two output buses: 1 high speed switched bus and 1 low speed unswitched bus.
Switched means: when a pilot sets the EIS DMC selector switch to CAPT/3 (or F/O/3), the DMC1 (or DMC2 respectively) sends through its output buses the data received from the DMC3, instead of its own data.
