On the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, make sure that the selector switches are at NORM.

4. Procedure

A. Start-up of the Display Units.

1. On the CAPT lighting/LOUD SPEAKER control panel 301VU:
-
turn the PFD potentiometer to the center position.
-
turn the ND potentiometer to the center position.
2. On the F/O lighting/LOUD SPEAKER control panel 500VU:
-
turn the PFD potentiometer to the center position.
-
turn the ND potentiometer to the center position.
3. On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel:
-turn the UPPER DISPLAY and the LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to the center position.
-
after not many seconds, the PFD imagecomes into view on the CAPT Primary Flight Display (PFD).
-
after not many seconds, the ND imagecomes into view on the CAPT Navigation Display (ND).
-
after not many seconds, the PFD imagecomes into view on the F/O PFD.
-
after not many seconds, the ND imagecomes into view on the F/O ND.
-
after not many seconds, the imagescome into view:* on the lower ECAM DU, the DOOR page comes into view.
* the top part of the upper ECAM DU shows the engine parameters. The lower part of the DU shows a MEMO indication.
- on the glareshield:
* the MASTER WARN and MASTER CAUT
lights are off.
NOTE : If the upper ECAM DU shows a warning and the lower ECAM DU shows a
