Make sure that the access platform is in below the zone 574.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Compensated Slide R WARNING : DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:

Remove the blanking plugs from the nut (2) and the fire shut-off valve (5).

Put the compensated slide (1) in position. NOTE : You can compress or extend the compensated slide to make it

fit correctly.
(3)
Hold the nut (3) then connect and tighten the nut (2).
(4)
Hold the fire shut-off valve (5) then connect and tighten the nut (4).
