A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
Subtask 29-11-51-860-054
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
R R (1) Do a visual check of the element of the Green engine 1 pump case drain filter (1084GM), if you remove the pump: - because of operation without fluid (dry running) - or because of malfunction if you think that there is internal damage.
R R R R (2) Do also a visual check of the related Green HP filter element (1048GM): - if you find metal chips or decomposed hydraulic fluid (jelly) in the filter element - if you find contamination on the filters, flush the lines that connect the pump to the filters.
(3) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Put a warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system: - on the ground service panel 197CB.
(6) Put a warning notice(s) in position on the access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir.
Subtask 29-11-51-941-052
C. Safety Precautions
R (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU: - put a warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
Put a warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
-in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the panel 40VU.
(4)
On the maintenance panel 50VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off
-put a warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(5)
Put a container below the Green engine pump to collect the remaining fluid.
