A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(2)
Make sure that the Green hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3)
Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system: - on the ground service panel 197CB.
(4)
Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position on the access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir.
(5)
Make sure that an access platform is in position at the engine 1(2).
(6)
Make sure that the fan-cowl door is open.

B. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
-make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
-in the cockpit, on the HYD overhead panel 40VU.
(4)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(5)
Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(6)
Make sure that a container is below the hydraulic tube connection to the switch (25) to collect the remaining fluid.
4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Green Engine 1 Pump Case Drain Check valve (1041GM)
(1)
Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the new packing (3).
(2)
Install the packing (3) on the check valve (1).
(3)
Remove the blanking plug from the panel (4).
(4)
Install the check valve (1) on the panel (4).
(5)
TORQUE the check valve (1) to between 2.82 and 5.87 m.daN (20.79 and
43.28 lbf.ft).
(6)
Remove the blanking plug from the disconnected hose (2).
(7)
Connect the hose (2) to the check valve (1).
R (8) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 2.43 and 2.77 m.daN (17.92 and 20.42 lbf.ft).

B. Test
(1) Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-11-00-710-001)
(2) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the check valve.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001).

R (1) Remove the warning notice(s).
R (2) Remove the container.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
