A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2)
Depressurize the related hydraulic reservoir (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Put the access platform in position at the engine.
(2)
Open the left fan-cowl door 437AL (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040). Subtask 29-11-39-941-051

Safety Precautions
(1)
Put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic system: - on the panel 40VU, in the cockpit, - on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access
door 197CB.
(2)
Put warning notice(s) on the access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir.
(3)
Put warning notice(s) in position on the panel 40VU to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(4)
Make sure that the related engine has been stopped for at least 5 minutes.
(5)
On the panel 50VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the related ENG FADEC GND PWR pushbutton switch is off.
-put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to supply power to the FADEC system.
(6)
On the panel 115VU:
-make sure that the related ENG MASTER 1(2) switch is in the OFF position.
(7)
Put a container below the suction-hose coupling to the hydraulic pump.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Engine 1 Quick-Disconnect Coupling Half
(1)
Disconnect the coupling half (5) from the fluid disconnnect panel. Let the hydraulic fluid drain into the container.
(2)
Disconnect the suction hose from the coupling half (5). NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the coupling half when you loosen
____
the suction hose.
(3)
Install protective covers on the suction hose, the coupling half (5) and the disconnect panel.

_______ FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
