A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2)
Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3)
Put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system: - on the ground service panel 197CB.
(4)
Put warning notice(s) on the access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir.

B. Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. TASK 78-30-00-040-040). Subtask 29-11-35-941-051
C. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
-put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
Put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
-in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU,
(4)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(5)
Put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(6)
Put a container below the connection between the pressure hose (2) and the fluid disconnect panel to collect the remaining fluid.

D. Get Access
(1) Open the left fan-cowl door 437AL (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(2) Put the access platform in position.

R A. Removal of the Green Engine 1 Thrust Reverser Check Valve
R CAUTION : USE 2 WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS._______
R ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION AND ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE
R COUPLING NUT. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.
R CAUTION : BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE CHECK VALVE AS THE HYDRAULIC_______
R FLUID WILL FLOW OUT.
R (1) Put a cloth below the connection between the pipe (4) and the check
R valve (3).
R (2) Disconnect the pipe (4) from the check valve (3).
R (3) Remove the check valve (3) with the O-ring (2) from the panel (1).
R (4) Put blanking plugs on the pipe (4) and the panel (1).
R
R (5) Discard the O-ring (2) from the check valve (3).

CAUTION : DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC
_______ FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
