3. Job Set-up

Subtask 29-11-39-860-051
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(2)
Make sure that the related hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is in position.
(4)
Make sure that the left fan-cowl door 437Al is open (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(5)
Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic system: - on the panel 245VU, in the cockpit, - on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access
door 197CB.
(6)
Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position on the access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir.
(7)
Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position on the panel 145VU to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(8)
Make sure that the related engines have been stopped for at least 5 minutes.
(9)
On the panel 285VU:
-
make sure that the ON legend of the related ENG FADEC PWR pushbutton switch is off,
-
make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position to tell persons not to supply power to the FADEC system.
(10)
On the panel 125VU:
-make sure that the related ENG MASTER switch is in the OFF position.
(11)
Make sure that a container is below the suction-hose coupling to the hydraulic pump.
4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Engine 1 Pump Suction Quick-Disconnect Coupling Half
(1)
Remove the protective covers from the suction hose, the coupling half
(5) and the fluid disconnect panel.
(2)
Install the coupling half (5) on the fluid disconnect panel. Tighten the coupling half with your hand.
(3)
Connect the suction hose to the coupling half (5).
(4)
TORQUE the coupling nut on the suction hose to between 9.04 and 10.17 m.daN (66.66 and 74.99 lbf.ft).
NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the coupling half (5) when you

B. Operational Test
(1)
Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
(2)
During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the coupling half connections.
(3)
Make sure that the level of hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety precautions
(1)
Remove the access platform(s).
(2)
Remove the container.
(3)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(4)
Remove the warning notice(s). Subtask 29-11-39-410-051
B.
Close Access
(1) Close the left fan-cowl door 437AL (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-410-040).
