 Subtask 27-51-00-420-077
 F. Remove the Adjusting Tools from the Main Eccentric Bearings of the Outboard Flap
 (Ref. Fig. 537/TASK 27-51-00-991-086)
 (1) At the track 3 position:
 (a)
 Remove the TOOL - FLAP ADJUSTING, TRACKS 2 AND 3 from the splined bush in the flap carriage.

 (b)
 Make sure that the main eccentric bearing and the splined bush are engaged correctly.

 (c)
 Install the locking plate (102), the washer (107) and the nut (106).

 (d)
 Install the new crushable washer (103) and the nut (104) as follows:


 1_ Put the new crushable washer (103) in position on the bolt
 (108).
 2_ Loosely install the nut (104) on the bolt (108) and turn it
 sufficiently to engage the threads correctly.
 3_ Put the crushable washer (103) in position on the flange of
 the nut (104) and hold it there.

 4 Continue to turn the nut (104) until the crushable washer
_ (103) touches the locking plate (102).
 (e)
 Use the SPANNER-FLAP ADJUST (98D27504118000) to hold the head of the bolt (108) and TORQUE the nut (104) to between 15 and 20 m.daN (110.61 and 147.49 lbf.ft).

 (f)
 Safety the nut (104) with the new cotter pin (105).


 (2) At the track 4 position:
 (a)
 Remove the TOOL - FLAP ADJUSTING, from the splined bush in the flap carriage.

 (b)
 Make sure that the main eccentric bearing and the splined bush are engaged correctly.

 (c)
 Install the locking plate (102), the washer (107) and the nut (106).

 (d)
 Install the new crushable washer (103) and the nut (104) as follows:


 1 Put the new crushable washer (103) in position on the bolt
_
 (108).

 2 Loosely install the nut (104) on the bolt (108) and turn it
_
 sufficiently to engage the threads correctly.

 3 Put the crushable washer (103) in position on the flange of
_
 the nut (104) and hold it there.

 4 Continue to turn the nut (104) until the crushable washer
_ (103) touches the locking plate (102).
 (e)
 Use the SPANNER-FLAP ADJUST (98D27504119000) to hold the head of the bolt (108) and TORQUE the nut (104) to between 15 and 20 m.daN (110.61 and 147.49 lbf.ft).

 (f)
 Safety the nut (104) with the new cotter pin (105).

 G. Complete the Adjustment of the Rigged Position of the Outboard Flap
 (Ref. Fig. 536/TASK 27-51-00-991-085)
 (1) If applicable, adjust the forward eccentrics back to the value shown on the label (100) at track 3. Adjust the forward eccentrics at track 3 and track 4 in sequence (in small increments).
 NOTE : Label (100) shows the assymetric offset value. This is the
____ adjustment applied to the forward eccentric bearing in the flap drive strut at tracks 3 and 4. The adjustment is necessary on some aircraft to give the correct aerodymamic balance:
 -
a plus (+) value shows that the flap trailing edge must be moved up

 -
a minus (-) value shows that the flap trailing edge must be moved down

 -
a zero (0) value shows that no adjustment is necessary.

 (a)
 At track 3 and track 4:

 (b)
 Safety the outboard flap forward eccentrics (Ref. TASK 27-54-62-400-002).


 1_ For a '+' value, the top surface of the flap must align (+/-
1.0 mm (0.0393 in.)) with:
 - the line above zero on the scale block (80) which is the
 same as the label value.
 2_ For a '-' value, the top surface of the flap must align (+/-
1.0 mm (0.0393 in.)) with:
 - the line below zero on the scale block (80) which is the
 same as the label value.
 NOTE : The scale block has 1 millmeter graduations.____

 (2) At the track 3 and track 4 positions, remove the KIT-FLAP RIGGING:
