 (f)
 If the label (41) shows a plus or minus value, adjust the forward eccentrics to the zero datum position (Ref. TASK 27-51-00-820-004).

 (g)
 Install the carriage restraint (30) between the base assembly

 (23)
 and the flap carriage (29). Make sure that the cut-out in the fork-end of the carriage restraint (30) is at the top. This will prevent damage to the greaser.

 (h)
 Adjust the carriage restraint (30) until it holds the flap carriage (29) in position.

 (i)
 Put the setting block (20) on the track 3 fin (21).


 (3)
 At the track 3 and track 4 positions:

 (a) Disconnect the flap drive-arm (4) from the rotary actuator drive-lever (5) (Ref. TASK 27-54-62-000-001).

 (4)
 Carefully lower the flap until the trailing edge of the flap touches the setting block (20) on the track 3 fin (21).

 (5)
 Disconnect the torque shafts at the universal-joints:

 (a)
 At the two sides of the flap track 3 actuator (Ref. TASK 27-54-49-000-003).

 (b)
 At the inboard side of the flap track 4 actuator (Ref. TASK 27-54-49-000-004).

 B. Install the Outboard Flap Rigging Kit
 (Ref. Fig. 516A/TASK 27-51-00-991-067-A, 518/TASK 27-51-00-991-068, 519A/TASK 27-51-00-991-069-B)
 (1)
 Install the PIN RIGGING-FLAPS (TRACK 1) (98D27504005000) (1) at the track 1 position.

 (2)
 Install the PIN RIGGING FLAPS (98D27504006000) (7) at the track 2, 3 and 4 positions.

 (3) At the track 3 position only, install the KIT-FLAP RIGGING (98D27504038001):
 (a)
 Install the base assembly (23) on the flap track beam (28). Make sure that the aft dowels (25) touch the track beam end-stop (24).

 (b)
 Move the two bottom clamps (26) into position below the flap track beam (28) and tighten the knurled screws (27).

 (c)
 Move the fin (21) into position in the slot on the base assembly

 and install the pin (22).

 (d) Check the value shown on the label (41) attached to the outboard side of the flap track 3 beam assembly.
 NOTE : Label (41) shows the assymetric offset value. This is the
____ adjustment applied to the forward eccentric bearing in the flap drive strut at tracks 3 and 4. The adjustment is necessary on some aircraft to give the correct aerodymamic balance:
 -
a plus (+) value shows that the flap trailing edge was moved up

 -
a minus (-) value shows that the flap trailing edge was moved down
