(b) Y position and symmetry of the landing gears (Ref. Fig. 614A/TASK 05-56-00-991-016-A)
1 Put the LANDING GEAR WHEEL TOE-IN LINE BAR (98D08103000001) or
_ LANDING GEAR WHEEL TOE-IN LINE BAR (98D08103000002) in horizontal position on outboard side of the main landing gear wheel.
2 Make a projection of the two ends to the floor with the plumb
_
line.
3 Measure the distance of the projections of the points to the
_ aircraft centerline. Subtract the forward and aft dimensions and calculate the toe-in of the landing gears.
(c) Angles of the axis of the shock strut (Ref. Fig. 613A/TASK 05-56-00-991-015-A)
1 Write down the angle Alpha (left side) (in a plane
_ perpendicular to the centerline of the aircraft). Write down the angle Beta (in a plane parallel to the centerline of the aircraft). Do these measurements with a clinometer.

The values specified in the tables 1 and 2 are the measurements from the first aircraft at zero flight hour. You can use them as a guide to make an analysis of the structural and aerodynamic condition of an aircraft:
-
after repairs
-
after aircraft maneuvers which make an alignment check necessary. The deviations in relation to the specified measurements do not automatically make the aircraft unserviceable . You must:
-
make an analysis of these deviations in relation to the structure and the aerodynamics of the aircraft,
-
make an estimate of their effect on flight safety. If there are large deviations, do a visual inspection for these failures :
(1)
Local structural failures :
-buckled skin plates, cracked stiffeners, machined parts, peeling paint
-torn or twisted fasteners.
(2)
Structural failures that cause :
-fuel leaks in the tank areas
-air leaks in the pressurized areas
-blockages on parts that move
-leaks in the air conditioning, hydraulic or fuel systems
-short-circuits in the electrical system
-doors and access panels that you can not close because of the distortion of the adjacent structure
-trim values of the control surface that are too high and decrease the control range.

________ Subtask 05-56-00-942-050
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration
(1)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(2)
Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the warning notice(s). Subtask 05-56-00-586-050
B. Lowering of the Aircraft
(1) Lower the aircraft on its wheels (Ref. TASK 07-11-00-586-002).
