-release the PACK 1 pushbutton
switch. On the CABIN PRESS section of the panel 25VU:
-with the MAN/V/S CTL switch, keep the pressure stable at value B (Pamb + 580 mbar (8.41 psi)).
 7. On the CABIN PRESS section of the panel 25VU:
-With the MAN/V/S CTL switch in DN position, fully close the outflow valve.
On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
-release the PACK 2 pushbutton switch when the outflow valve is closed.
8. Monitor the pressure decrease:
 -at value C (Pamb + 560 mbar
 (8.12 psi)), start the stop-watch.

the cabin pressure is value A (Pamb + 280 mbar (4.06 psi)).

On the pressure indicator:

the cabin pressure increases to value

B (Pamb + 580 mbar (8.41 psi)).On the vertical speed indicator:

the cabin vertical speed must not bemore than 500 ft.min (152.39 m.min).

On the vertical speed indicator:

the cabin vertical speed is 0.On the pressure indicator:

the cabin pressure is value B (Pamb + 580 mbar (8.41 psi)).

On the AIR COND panel 30VU:

-
the OFF legend of the PACK 1

pushbutton switch comes on.On the vertical speed indicator:

the cabin vertical speed is 0.On the pressure indicator:

the cabin pressure is value B (Pamb +580 mbar (8.41 psi)).

On the lower ECAM display unit, on theCAB PRESS page:

the outflow valve is in the fully

closed position.On the AIR COND panel 30VU:

the OFF legend of the PACK 2

pushbutton switch comes on.On the pressure indicator:

the cabin pressure indication decreases.

 -push the PACK 1 and PACK 2  - the cabin vertical speed must not be pushbutton switches (the OFF more than 500 ft.min (152.39 m.min). legend is off). On the pressure indicator:
 On the CABIN PRESS section of the - the cabin pressure indication panel 25VU: decreases to the external ambient
 -with the MAN V/S CTL switch,  pressure.
 decrease the cabin pressure
 until you get a differential
 pressure of 0 psi.

 NOTE : The cabin vertical speed

 must not be more than 500

 10. Wait until the cabin is fully
 depressurized then fully open
 the outflow valve.

_______ PARAMETERS (CABIN DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE, CABIN ALTITUDE, CABIN VERTICAL- SPEED) DURING THIS TEST. THE PRESSURES USED IN THIS TEST ARE MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM LIMIT OF THE RELATED PRESSURE SENSOR. WHEN THESE PRESSURES BECOME MORE THAN THE PRESSURE SENSOR LIMIT, ON THE ECAM DISPLAY:

THE CABIN DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE INDICATION BECOMES AMBER XX

 -
THE CABIN ALTITUDE INDICATION BECOMES AMBER XX

THE CABIN VERTICAL-SPEED INDICATION IS NO LONGER CORRECT. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE CORRECT CABIN PRESSURE VALUES, YOU CAN MAKE UNWANTED CHANGES IN PRESSURE THAT CAN CAUSE INJURY.


 NOTE : This procedure uses the MAN V/S CTL switch on the CABIN PRESS
____ section of the panel 25VU to control the cabin pressure. This switch, spring loaded to neutral, controls the outflow valve position:
 -UP: the outflow valve moves to the open position (the cabin pressure decreases)
 -DN: the outflow valve moves to the closed position (the cabin
 pressure increases)
 We recommend:

 -short action on this switch (do not hold the switch in the UP or DN position)
 -that you monitor the cabin vertical speed indication to prevent sudden changes in cabin pressure.
