Install the Brake Pressure Switch (Fig. 401)

Install a new o-ring and two backup rings on the brake pressure switch.

Remove the cap from the port on the STCM.

Install the brake pressure switch and tighten it at the wrench flats as follows:
(a)
Tighten the brake pressure switch at the wrench flats 300 to 350 pound-inches (33.9-39.5 Nm).

Connect the electrical connector to the brake pressure switch.

AIRPLANES WITH STAB TRIM LEVERS ON THE CONTROL STAND;
remove rig pins E/ST1 and E/ST2, if they were installed.

Put the RIGHT and CENTER STAB TRIM SHUTOFF valve switches on the control stand panel, P10, to the NORM position.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the overhead panel, P11:

(8) AIRPLANES WITH STAB TRIM LEVERS ON THE CONTROL STAND; remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags from the STAB TRIM levers and from the control wheel switches.

AIRPLANES WITH ALTERNATE STAB TRIM SWITCHES ON THE CONTROL STAND; remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags from the alternate stab trim switches and from the control wheel switches.

Do the Test of the Stabilizer Trim/Elevator Asymmetry Limit Module (SAM) (FIM 27-09-00).
(a)
Make sure the STCM fault balls do not set during the left and right SAM tests.
NOTE: Do all of the steps as if you replaced the left and

right SAMs.
(b)
Make sure there are no hydraulic leaks at the brake pressure switch.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Make sure the power is removed from the left, right, and center hydraulic systems (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Close the access door for the forward stabilizer compartment, 311AL (AMM 06-42-00).
