FLAP/SLAT ELECTRONIC UNIT - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains three tasks. The first task is the removal of the FLAP/SLAT ELECTRONICS UNIT (FSEU). The second task is the installation of the FSEU. The third task tests the FSEU.
B. You can install the -32, -37, and -40 FSEU on airplanes with -14 or -17 FSEUs. For airplanes with -14 or -17 FSEUs, -32 or -37 FSEUs, and -40 FSEUs, put the -40 FSEU in the E5-1 shelf and the -32 or -37 FSEU in the E5-3 shelf. This will give you the best fault memory.

Do the spoiler/speedbrake deactivation-procedure (AMM 27-61-00/201).
(2)
Open the forward (No. 1) cargo door, 821 (AMM 06-41-00 201).

Remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
