Put the RIGHT and CENTER STAB TRIM SHUTOFF switches on the P10 panel to NORM.

Move both of the STAB TRIM control levers forward full travel.

Make sure that the stabilizer moves in the airplane nose down direction (stabilizer leading edge up).

Release both STAB TRIM control levers.

Make sure that stabilizer movement stops.

Move the STAB TRIM control levers forward full travel and hold until the travel limit mechanism cancels the lever input. ( A sudden increase in the force required to hold left lever forward is felt when the lever input is cancelled.)

Put the RIGHT and CENTER STAB TRIM SHUTOFF switches on the P10 panel to CUTOUT.

 (a)  
Make sure that the stabilizer-trim ballscrew-actuator upper-stop surfaces have not hit each other.

 (b)  Make sure that the stops on the upper end of the ballnut are
 between 60 to 210 degrees from the stop lugs on the upper end
 of the ballscrew (0.10 to 0.36 inch (2.5-9.1 mm) axial
 dimension along the ballscrew).
 NOTE:____ One full turn of the ballscrew is equivalent to
 inch of ax (15.87 mm) axial movement along the
 ballscrew.
 (c)  Make sure that both stabilizer-trim position indicators read
 0 | 1/4 unit of trim.

 NOTE: One full turn of the ballscrew is equivalent to 0.625
____ inch of ax (15.87 mm) axial movement along the ballscrew.
