(4) Make sure the arming switches for the alternate drive of the TE flaps and LE slats on the P3 panel are not in the armed position (switch lights will go off).
NOTE: You will need to put these arming switches in the armed
____ position for the LEADING EDGE light to come on when you do the FSEU-2 BITE test in the steps below.

Pressurize the left hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Flap/Slat Electronic Unit (FSEU) - Test (-17 and lower FSEU's) (Fig. 506)

Do the FSEU test that follows:
(a)
Push the BITE test switch for each FSEU and make sure all the lights on the panel face come on.
(b)
Release the BITE test switch for each FSEU and do the check that follows: 1) Make sure all the lights on the face panel go off. 2) Make sure that no fault indications occur. 3) Make sure the green test-complete light comes on for the
end of the test. 4) Make sure the indications that follow come on momentarily in the sequence shown while BITE test is run:

*[1] The LEADING EDGE light will come on only if the LE slat alternate drive is armed (the switch light will be on) while the FSEU-2 BITE test is run.
*[2] The EICAS status page must be on for message to come on.

Do the FSEU test that follows:
(a)
Push the BIT TEST button on the front panel of each FSEU and hold for more than 1.5 seconds and make sure all 12 of the (LED) FSEU lights come on.
NOTE: Do not push the BIT TEST BUTTON for different FSEU, at

the same time.
(b) Release the BIT TEST button and do a check for past faults as follows: 1) Push the BIT TEST button one time after the other to see
each column on the face panel.
