 E. Install the STCM (Fig. 201)
 S 432-024
 (1)  
Put the STCM in its correct position and install the bolts and washers to attach it to the airplane structure.

Remove the plugs from the hydraulic lines and the caps from the ports.

Install a new o-ring on the solenoid valve.

Put the gasket plate its correct position on the STCM.

Put the solenoid valve in its correct position on the STCM.

Install the bolts and washers to attach the solenoid valve to the STCM and tighten the bolts as follows:

 (a)
Tighten the bolts to 30-35 pound-inches (3.39-3.95 Nm).

Install rig pins E/ST1 and E/ST2.

The servo levers are adjusted correctly if the conditions that follow are correct:

 (a)
The servo levers on each STCM are no more than 0.03 inch


 (0.76 mm) away from the index marks on the lever stop plate.

 (3)  
If one or more of the servo levers are not adjusted correctly, do the steps that follow:

 (a)  
Disconnect the control rod from the servo lever that is not adjusted correctly.

 (b)  
Adjust the rod end until the servo lever aligns with the index marks.

 (c)  
Tighten the check nut.

 (d)  
Make sure you can see the end of the rod end through the inspection hole.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT MOVE THE LINKAGE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE RIG PIN. CENTERING SPRINGS MOVE THE LEVERS WHICH CAUSE THE LINKAGE TO MOVE WHEN A RIG PIN IS REMOVED.
 (4)  Remove rig pins E/ST1 and E/ST2, then install them again.
