Make sure the advisory message ENG X REVERSER does not show on the EICAS display.

Disconnect the electrical connector for the hydraulic pressure switch on the isolation valve (DS1683).

 On the applicable engine strut, disconnect the electrical connector for the hydraulic pressure switch on the isolation valve.

E. CMC MESSAGE CHECK
 S 845-101-N01
 (1)  
Move the reverser thrust lever for engine X to the deploy position.

 S 865-077-N01

 (2)  
Operate engine X manual override lever on the thrust reverser
 isolation valve (located inside the strut) to prevent fluid lock.

 

 NOTE: A pin can be used to hold the override lever in the
____
 depressed position.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT PRY AGAINST OTHER PARTS. IF YOU PRY AGAINST OTHER PARTS THEY WILL BE DAMAGED.
 (3)  Release the lock on both engine X center actuators.
 (a)  
Push lever aft and engage trip lever.

 (b)  
Carefully use pliers when moving lever.

 (4)  Operate engine X manual crank (located at the end of the sync shaft locks) to extend one reverser half approximately 6 to 12 inches away from the fully stowed position.
 (a)  
To unlock the sync lock insert the drive into the slot in the end of the sync shaft and push back the pin.

 (b)  
The shaft will be free to turn.


 NOTE: To help you push back the pin, place a 5/8 inch
____ open end wrench on the outside diameter of the drive receptacle and rotate from side to side at the same time you push back the pin.

Move the reverse thrust lever for engine X to the fully stowed
 position.
