Do the deactivation procedure for the Speed Brake System Control System (AMM 27-62-00/201).

Make sure the forward thrust levers are in the idle position.
(a) Install the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the thrust levers.

(3) Make sure the reverse thrust levers are in the forward and down (stow) position.
(a) Install the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the thrust levers.

Do the deactivation procedure for the thurst reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the applicable forward fairing panel.

Make sure the forward fairing panel is not damaged.

Remove the Retract Flow Control Tee for the Thrust Reverser (Fig. 401).

Loosen the clamp for the hydraulic extend and retract lines.
(2)
Loosen the tube nut on the hydraulic retract lines (11).
(3)
Move the hydraulic tube nuts forward.
