 (a)  Repair the bullnose seal, if necessary (AMM 78-00-00/801).

Move the thrust reverser forward until you are one inch from the
 complete stow position.

Remove the streamered pin which holds the manual override lever for
 the bypass valve of the isolation valve in the open position.

 

 NOTE: Keep the bypass valve in the closed position during the
____ removal and installation of the hydraulic component. If the bypass valve is open, the hydraulic reservoir will drain.
 D.  Remove the Locking Hydraulic Actuator for the Thrust Reverser (Fig. 401 and 402).

Remove the screws (8) from the applicable access panel (10).

Remove the access panel (10).

Remove the cotter pin (9), nut (7), washers (6) and bolt (5) which
 attach the rod end (4) to the thrust reverser sleeve (11).

Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) for the feedback LVDT
 (Fig. 402).

 

 (a)  Install the protection caps.

Remove the actuator lock proximity sensor (10) and the actuator
 deploy proximity sensor (18) from the locking hydraulic
 actuator (11) (Fig. 402) (AMM 78-36-01/401).

Remove the bolts (15), washers (16), and nuts (17) which attach the
 clamps (14) for the proximity sensor wire to the locking hydraulic
 actuator (Fig. 402).
