THRUST REVERSER FLOW CONTROL TEE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure has four tasks.
(1)
Remove the retract flow control tee.
(2)
Remove the extend flow control tee.
(3)
Install the extend flow control tee.
(4)
Install the retract flow control tee.
(5)
The flow control tees for the thrust reverser are attached to the directional control valve, which is on the strut. You must remove the strut forward fairing for access.
(6)
The Directional Control Valve for the thrust reverser shall be referred to as the DCV for these tasks.

_______ SYSTEM. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, THE SPOILERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU MOVE THE THRUST LEVERS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do the deactivation procedure for the Speed Brake Control System (AMM 27-62-00/201).

(2) Make sure the forward thrust levers are in the idle position.
(a) Install the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the thrust levers.

(3) Make sure the reverse thrust levers are in the forward and down (stow) position.
(a) Install the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the thrust levers.

Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the applicable forward fairing panel.

Make sure the forward fairing panel is not damaged.

Remove the Retract Flow Control Tee for the Thrust Reverser (Fig. 401).

Loosen the clamp for the hydraulic extend and retract lines.

Loosen the tube nut on the hydraulic retract lines (7).

Move the tube nuts forward.

Loosen the swivel nut for the elbow (12).
(5)
Remove the elbow (12) and restrictor valve (8) from the strut.

NOTE: Keep the restrictor valve (8) installed on the elbow (12)
