 B.  The Thrust Reverser Return Filter is referred to as the Return Filter for this procedure.
 C.  The Return Filter filters the hydraulic fluid prior to the hydraulic
 fluid entering the airplane system from the thrust reverser.

 D.  The filter has a check valve and a reverse flow valve. The check valve
 prevents reverser flow of hydraulic fluid through the filter. The
 reverse flow valve balances the hydraulic fluid pressure.

_______ CONTROL SYSTEM. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, THE SPOILERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU MOVE THE THRUST LEVERS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  
Do the deactivation procedure for the spoiler/speedbrake control system (AMM 27-62-00/201).

Make sure the forward thrust levers are in the idle position and attach the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags.

 (1)  Open the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the applicable strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU RELEASE THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURE BEFORE YOU
_______ OPEN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURIZES THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT HAS PRESSURE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (2) Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU RELEASE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURE BEFORE YOU
_______ OPEN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT HAS PRESSURE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (3)  Release the pressure in the main hydraulic system and reservoir for the applicable strut (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 CAUTION: BE PREPARED TO CATCH THE HYDRAULIC FLUID IN THE APPLICABLE
_______ CONTAINER WHEN YOU REMOVE THE RETURN FILTER. IF THE HYDRAULIC FLUID FALLS ON THE ENGINE, QUICKLY CLEAN THE ENGINE. IF YOU DO NOT QUICKLY CLEAN THE HYDRAULIC FLUID, THE HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
 (4)  Cut and remove the lockwire from the filter bowl.
