_ 3) Disconnect the engine-to-strut electrical connector, D4180 (LH sleeve) or D4182 (RH sleeve).
NOTE: The auto restow system is now in the "reverser

4) Supply electrical power to the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201). 5) Remove the streamered pin from the deactivation slide on the isolation valve.
NOTE: Do not close the circuit breakers for the thrust

reverser controls.
WARNING: IF YOU APPLY THE ELECTRICAL POWER WHILE THE HYDRAULIC
_______ POWER IS ON, THE OPEN THRUST REVERSERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE. KEEP ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE THRUST REVERSERS TO PREVENT DAMAGE OR INJURY.
6) Supply hydraulic power to the airplane (AMM 29-11-00/201).
7) Close this circuit breaker for the applicable engine to close and lock the thrust reverser sleeves: a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel

8) Install the rotary flex shafts.
(b) When you use a hydraulic ground service cart, do the steps that follow: 1) Disconnect the retract line flexhose for the top
non-locking hydraulic actuator from the hydraulic
connection on the strut.
a) Catch the hydraulic fluid that drains.
2) Connect the hydraulic service cart to the retract line flexhose for the thrust reverser.
WARNING: IF YOU APPLY THE ELECTRICAL POWER WHILE THE HYDRAULIC
_______ POWER IS ON, THE OPEN THRUST REVERSERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE. KEEP ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE THRUST REVERSERS TO PREVENT DAMAGE OR INJURY.
3) Operate the hydraulic service cart to supply a hydraulic pressure of 1800 to 3000 psi.
NOTE: The thrust reverser sleeve will close and lock when
____ you supply the hydraulic pressure. Do not decrease the hydraulic pressure.
E. Install the Rotary Flex Shaft

Remove the protection caps from the flex shaft ports on the
hydraulic actuators.

Loosen the fasteners for the support block of the hydraulic line until you can set the position of the flex shaft and tubing.
(3)
Make sure the thrust reverser is in the stowed position and locked.

(4) Keep the hydraulic pressure on the retract side while you do these steps to install the flex shafts:
(a)
Put the end of the flex shaft with the splines into the hole of the hydraulic actuators.
(b)
Engage the first one or two threads of the tube nuts for each flex shaft.
(c)
Put the flex shaft tube into the support block and tighten the fasteners.
(d)
Loosen the tube nuts and make sure the splines on the end of each flex shaft are engaged in the hydraulic actuators.
(e)
Tighten the tube nuts to 30-35 pound-inches (3.39-3.96 newton-meters).
