THRUST REVERSER CONTROL SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure has two tasks:
(1)
The first task is to remove the thrust reverser control switch.
(2)
The second task is to install the thrust reverser control switch.
B.
The thrust reverser control switch will be referred to as a control switch in this procedure.
C.
The control switches cause the isolation valve to operate when they are opened or closed by the reverse thrust levers.
D.
There are four control switches, one for each thrust lever. The control switch is installed in the thrust lever assembly.
E.
You can find the removal and installation tasks for the microswitches that control the directional control valve (DCV) in AMM 76-11-03/201, Control Stand - Maintenance Practices.
F.
To get access to the control switches, you must open the applicable thrust lever switch cover on the thrust lever assembly. The removal and installation tasks are the same for all switches unless specified differently.
G.
To do these tasks, you must:
Remove the electrical power from the thrust levers
Remove the thrust lever switch cover
Remove the control switch
Install the control switch
Adjust the control switch with the bubble protractor
Install the thrust lever switch cover
Do a check of the control switch operation
Supply electrical power to the thrust levers.

Do the deactivation procedure for the Speed Brake Control System (AMM 27-62-00/201).

Remove electrical power from the thrust levers (AMM 76-11-03/201).

Remove the Control Switch for the Thrust Reverser (Fig. 401).

(1) Remove the applicable Thrust Lever Assembly Switch Covers.
(a)
Remove the three screws from the switch cover for the thrust lever assembly.
(b)
Remove the switch cover.
(c)
Keep the switch cover and screws.

(a) Remove the two screws and remove the applicable thrust reverser control switch from the thrust lever as follows: 1) Thrust lever one - control switch S101 2) Thrust lever two - control switch S102 3) Thrust lever three - control switch S103 4) Thrust lever four - control switch S104
