 (1)
Move the reverse thrust lever for engine X to the deploy position.

 (2)  
Operate engine X manual override lever on the thrust reverser isolation valve (located inside the strut) to prevent fluid lock.


 NOTE: A pin can be used to hold the override lever in the

 depressed position.

 (3)  Release the lock on both engine X center actuators.
 (a)  
Push lever aft and engage trip lever.

 (b)  
Carefully use pliers when moving lever.

 (4)  Operate engine X manual crank (located at the end of the sync shaft locks) to extend one reverser half approximately 6 to 12 inches away from the fully stowed position.
 (a)  
To unlock the sync lock, insert the drive into the slot in the end of the sync shaft and push back the pin.

 (b)  
The shaft will be free to turn.


 NOTE: To help you push back the pin, place a 5/8 inch
____ open end wrench on the outside diameter of the drive receptacle and rotate from side to side at the same time you push back the pin.

Move the reverse thrust lever for engine X to the fully stowed position.

Apply actuators to the following Air/Gnd proximity sensors.


 NOTE: This will put the primary and alternate Air/Gnd systems

 in the AIR mode.

 (a)  Sensors:
 1) S417 L/H Wing Tilt Primary
 2) S615 L/H Wing Tilt Alternate
 3) S419 L/H Body Tilt Primary
 4) S612 L/H Body Tilt Alternate
 5) S416 R/H Wing Tilt Primary
 6) S614 R/H Wing Tilt Alternate
 7) S418 R/H Body Tilt Primary
 8) S613 R/H Body Tilt alternate
 9) S800 Nose Squat Primary
 10) S801 Nose Squat Alternate

 (9)  For the applicable engine, open the circuit breaker on the Main Power Distribution Panel (P6):
 (a)  
6F11 ENG 1 T/R LOCK CONT

 (b)  
6E11 ENG 2 T/R LOCK CONT

 (c)  
6D11 ENG 3 T/R LOCK CONT

 (d)  
6C11 ENG 4 T/R LOCK CONT

 (10) Make sure this CMC message is NOT Active on the CDU:
 (a)  "ENG X T/R UNCOMMANDED LOCK POWER OR DEPLOY COMMAND
 10 DEG SW FAIL"

 S 215-093-N02
 (11) Make sure this CMC message is still Active on the CDU:
 (a)  "ENG X THRUST REVERSER UNSTOW RELAY WIRING FAIL"
