1. General
_______
A. This procedure gives instructions to do a check of the CMC messages and the wiring test of the disagreement circuit for the thrust reverser. The EICAS message ENG X REVERSER will show when there is a failure in the thrust reverser system.
NOTE:____"X" is the applicable engine number: 1, 2, 3, or 4.
B. The circuit for the EICAS message ENG X REVERSER has a time delay mechanism to prevent nuisance messages. It can require up to 90 seconds for the EICAS message ENG X REVERSER to show.

_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS DURING THIS ADJUSTMENT/TEST PROCEDURE. THE FLAPS WILL MOVE IF YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE SPEED

(3) Put airplane in the GROUND mode (AMM 32-09-02/201).

WARNING:_______REMOVE THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE BEFORE YOU DO THIS CHECK. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE, THE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVES CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN THE REVERSE THRUST LEVERS ARE MOVED. THIS COULD CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: Hydraulic System Depressurization (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Make sure the fire handle is in the usual position.
