A. If the test gives the maintenance message ADIRS CONTROL PANEL (2FP/221VU) ADIRU3 (1FP3):
- remove the ADIRU-3 (1FP3) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-000-001)
- do a check for a ground signal at pins AB/1F, 2F of the rack connector (Ref. ASM 34-11/01).
(1) If there is no ground signal:
- install a new ADIRU3 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-400-001).
(2) If there is a ground signal:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the ADIRU3 and the ADIRS CDU (2FP): pins AB/1D, 2D, 1F, 2F to pins C/3, 4, 12, 13.
- install the ADIRU3.

A. At the end of the flight, on the MCDU:
- push the DATA key
- get the POSITION MONITOR page
- read each IRS position error shown on line 5 and read the radial position error given on the aircraft log book. (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 34-14-00-991-001)
NOTE : The radial position error does not stay in the memory of the MCDU
____ after the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. Compare the values that you read with the curve shown on the figure. (Ref. Fig. 202/TASK 34-14-00-991-002)
(1) Calculate the NAV time of the ADIRU as follows:
- record the flight time of the previous flight given in the logbook and add 30 minutes to this time.
NOTE : This 30-minute period is the assumed time interval from the
____ end point of the ADIRU alignment and aircraft door closing before pushback.
(2) If the radial position error value is not permitted (AREA 3), replace
R the defective ADIRU (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-400-001).
(3) If the radial position error value is permitted (AREA 1), no maintenance action is necessary.

(4) If the radial position error value is in AREA 2, you must do a check of this value after the subsequent flight.
