 A. Test Do the BITE test of the ILS (systems 1 and 2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-00-740-002).
 4. Fault Isolation
_______________
 A. If the test of the ILS1 only gives the maintenance message ILS GLIDE ANTENNA (4RT):
 - swap the RECEIVER-ILS, 1 (2RT1) and the RECEIVER-ILS, 2 (2RT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-001)

 - do the BITE test of the ILS (system 1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-00-740-002).


 (1) If the test of the ILS1 gives the maintenance message ILS GLIDE ANTENNA (4RT):
 - remove the ILS receiver 1

 - remove the ANTENNA-GLIDE/SLOPE 1/2 (4RT) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-18-000-001)

 - make sure that there is continuity on the coaxial cable between the ILS receiver 1 and the glide/slope 1/2 antenna (4RT) (Ref. ASM 34-36/01)

 - replace the coaxial cable if necessary

 - make sure that there is discontinuity between the core and the shield of the coaxial cable

 - repair if necessary

 - install the ILS receiver 1

 - install the glide/slope 1/2 antenna (4RT) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-18-400-001).


 (2) If the test of the ILS1 does not give the maintenance message ILS GLIDE ANTENNA (4RT):
 - replace the ILS receiver that you installed on side 2.
 B. If the test of the ILS2 only gives the maintenance message ILS GLIDE ANTENNA (4RT):
 - swap the ILS receiver 1 (2RT1) and the ILS receiver 2 (2RT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-001)

 - do the BITE test of the ILS (system 2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-00-740-002).


 (1) If the test of the ILS2 gives the maintenance message ILS GLIDE ANTENNA (4RT):

 - remove the ILS receiver 2

 - remove the glide/slope 1/2 antenna (4RT) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-18-000-001)

 - make sure that there is continuity on the coaxial cable between the ILS receiver 2 and the glide/slope 1/2 antenna (4RT) (Ref. ASM 34-36/01)

 - replace the coaxial cable if necessary

 - make sure that there is discontinuity between the core and the shield of the coaxial cable

 - repair if necessary

 - install the ILS receiver 2

 - install the glide/slope 1/2 antenna (4RT) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-18-400-001).

 

 (2) If the test of the ILS2 does not give the maintenance message ILS GLIDE ANTENNA (4RT):


 - replace the ILS receiver that you installed on side 1.
 C. If the test of the ILS1 and the test of the ILS2 give the maintenance message ILS GLIDE ANTENNA (4RT):
 - replace the glide/slope 1/2 antenna (4RT) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-18-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-18-400-001).
 D. Do the test given in Para. 3.
