- remove the MMR1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-000-002)
- remove the GPS antenna 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-16-000-001)
- make sure that there is no moisture and/or corrosion on the coaxial cable of the GPS antenna 1
- if you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 517400P.BLOCK001) for types, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
- make sure that there is continuity on the coaxial cable of the GPS antenna 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-003)
- replace the coaxial cable if necessary
- make sure that there is discontinuity between the core and shield of the coaxial cable of the GPS antenna 1
- repair if necessary.
(a) If the fault stops:
- install the MMR1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-002)
- install the GPS antenna 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-16-400-001).
(b) If the fault continues:
- install a new ANTENNA-GPS ACTIVE, 1 (43RT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-16-400-001)
- install the MMR1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-002).
(2) If the trouble shooting data do not give the fault code XA7X or XA8X:
- replace the MMR-1 (40RT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-002).

A. If the test gives the maintenance message MMR1 (40RT1):
- remove the MMR-1 (40RT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-000-002).
- do a check for a ground signal at pin AC/7 of the MMR receiver 1.
(1) If there is no ground signal:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the MMR receiver 1 and the first ground terminal: pin AC/7 of the MMR receiver 1 (Ref. ASM 34-36/01)
- install the MMR receiver 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-002).
(2) If there is a ground signal:
- do a check for 115VAC between pins AC/7 and AC/9 of the MMR receiver 1.
(a) If there is no 115VAC:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the circuit breaker (42RT1) and the MMR receiver 1: pin AC/9 of the MMR receiver 1 (Ref. ASM 34-36/01)
- install the MMR receiver 1.
(b) If there is 115VAC:
- install a new MMR receiver 1.
